Responsibilities
- Perform duties related to patient care and personal comfort
- Supply and empty bed pans
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse)
- Serve meal trays and assist with feeding
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens
- Maintain patients’ rooms and make beds
- Supervise exercise routines and maintain supply inventory
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers
- Respond to call signals and determine patients’ needs
- Collect specimens and provide first aid in emergencies
Requirements
- Languages: English
- Education: College, CEGEP, or a non-university certificate/diploma in Nursing or Patient Care Assistance, or equivalent experience
